Help a Local Family in Need

When Kim Renchy Hodge needed help, her friends and neighbors from Guilford rose to the occasion. Hodge is currently unwell and being treated at The Hospital of Saint Raphael at Yale New Haven. While there, her friend and companion, Bentley (the dog), panicked without her and broke out from where he was staying. He pushed open a screen and jumped out a second floor window, breaking his pelvis and knee.

Bentley recently underwent surgery. Hodge suffers from multiple sclerosis and is wheelchair-bound. Bentley is a friend and companion to Hodge and her father, to whom she is a full-time caregiver. Friends have set up a fundraising page for the family to help pay the vet bills and have raised about $4,000 so far. They are still trying to reach their goal of $6,000 in the hopes that it will help pay most of the bill.
