Bank Robbery Suspect Sought in East Haven

The East Haven Police Department is looking for a man who attempted to rob a Key Bank on Main Street in East Haven.

According to police, a black male in his 40s entered Key Bank, 245 Main Street, at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 31 and asked for "all the money." No threats were made, and no weapons were displayed or implied. No money was taken, and no one was injuried. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. An attempt to track the suspect with a K9 unit was unsuccessful.

Police described the suspect as a tall black male, unshaven, in his 40s, and wearing a dark green baseball cap, black sungalsses with red on the sides, and a blue t-shirt with the words "No Delay in My Game" in white lettering.

It is believed the suspect is the same man the Orange Police Department is looking for following a robbery of Webster Bank on Boston Post Road in Orange shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30. The suspect left the bank in Orange with an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot in a westerly direction toward the Firelight Plaza. In this incident, the suspect did not display or imply a weapon. Orange Police and East Haven Police are working together to find the suspect.
