Local Students Recognized by the Old Saybrook/Westbrook Exchange Club

Alexis Danner (right) of Old Saybrook High School and Ashlyn Chamberlain of Westbrook High School received the 2017 ACE (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence) Award from the Old Saybrook/Westbrook Exchange Club. The award is given annually in memory of club member Al Winkler and honors two students who overcame significant challenges to graduate with their peers. The $1,500 scholarships were presented by Jim Crawford.
