This year, the Guilford Education Association (GEA) held a Read-a-thon to support SARAH. Students read books and secured sponsors for the number of pages or books they read. These funds were donated to the SARAH Foundation to support their programs and services for people with intellectual and other disabilities who live in Connecticut. The top fundraisers from each school were Jackson Howard, Baldwin Middle School; Samantha Iglesias, Calvin Leete School; Avery NcMahon, Guilford Lakes School; and a tie between Ethan and Leyton Parker, Melissa Jones School. Chloe Ledwith was the highest fundraiser at A.W. Cox Elementary School and the district’s highest fundraiser.
