VRHS Celebrates School to Career Partnership Breakfast

Valley Regional High School celebrated its 11th annual School to Career Partnership Breakfast on May 19. Student interns and their mentors shared their experiences. For the past 11 years, the internships have provided students with the opportunity to learn about a career field of interest as well as learning valuable communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Community partners present at Friday’s celebration included Aaron Manor, Centerbrook Architects, Chester Elementary School, Child and Family Orthodontics, Circle of Friends Montessori, Community Music School, Deep River Animal Hospital, Essex Elementary School, Essex Library, Essex Meadows, Essex Savings Bank, Greenwald Industries, John Winthrop Middle School, Lark, Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Center, Roto-Frank, and VHB Engineering. Valley Regional High School’s internship program is coordinated by School to Career Coordinator Mary Hambor.
