Emily Konrad, a junior at Valley Regional High School in Deep River and a resident of Essex, was named runner-up in this year’s goPINK Project’s T-shirt design contest. Her design will be reproduced as a temporary tattoo and distributed at the goPINK Fun Run and Middletown businesses throughout October.

The goPINK Project benefits the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center. The Sept. 17 goPINK Fun Run will be held at Middletown High School. T-shirt proceeds will help cover the cost of integrative medicine therapy, such as massage therapy and Reiki, for cancer center patients.
