Forget the hassle of fighting for parking this summer: The Madison Bike Share program is back for its third year and provides local residents and tourists alike the opportunity to explore the town on two wheels.

Bicycles, helmets, and locks are available to rent for $12 a day at four locations: Creations (712 Boston Post Road), Madison Beach Hotel (94 West Wharf Road), Scranton Seahorse Inn (818 Boston Post Road), and Tidewater Inn (949 Boston Post Road). Individuals must be 18 or older, or accompanied by an adult, to rent a bike.

Launched in 2015, the Madison Bike Share doesn’t only provide a convenient and affordable way of getting around town, it creates employment opportunities for members of Vista Life Innovations, a community-based program supporting the personal success of individuals with disabilities. The fleet of nearly 20 bicycles is serviced and maintained throughout the season by two trained Vista member employees.

The 2017 Bike Share season will run through early October.

Sponsorship opportunities are available to local businesses and individuals at $250 per bike. For more information about sponsorships, contact the Madison Chamber of Commerce at 203-245-7394.
