Members of North Branford High School's (NBHS) book club, the Renegade Readers, recently completed a successful book drive to help three important causes.

Last week, club members Pat Mingione, Jill Damiani, Kelly Oliver and Becky Sabetta packed up over 250 books to be donated. The books were given by North Branford High School students and staff during the Renegade Readers' annual book drive.

All children's books will be donated to Branford-based Connecticut non-profit, Read To Grow, which has several programs for families and children. Hardcovers and general novels are headed to the North Branford library system. Paperback, non-fiction and "How-To" books will be contributed to the NYC Books Through Bars program, an all-volunteer organization which sends free books to incarcerated people across the country.

Renegade Readers Club is supervised by NBHS Faculty Adviser Heidi Ahlstrom Miller.
