Students in Guilford Art Center’s April 1 “Art to the Rescue” workshop created handmade toys and blankets for animals that were donated to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford. This three-hour, free workshop was fully enrolled with 25 youth students who did all of the sewing and constructing of the items while giving back to the community with their works.

The next free community workshop in the series is for adults and called “Try Your Hand at Painting & Drawing” on Saturday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. Space is limited and registration is required.

For more information or to register, call Guilford Art Center at 203-453-5947 or visit www.guilfordartcenter.org.
