Local Man Killed by Train at Madison Station

An local man, who was stuck by a southbound Acela Express train on the tracks near the Madison Train Station on Bradley Road on April 26, has died. An Amtrak spokesperson has identified the victim as 52-year-old Glenn Cuban who was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital and later pronounced dead.

The incident occurred at shortly after 7 p.m. Madison police, fire, and EMS as well as Amtrak police responded to the scene. Madison Police Chief Jack Drumm said the victim was still alive when officers arrived and was immediately transported.

Drumm, who called the incident very unfortunate, said the victim appears to have been walking along the tracks or standing adjacent to the tracks when the accident occurred.

Shore Line East reported that train service was suspended for an hour for the investigation and then resumed normal service.
