All through the month of March, students and staff at North Branford High School (NBHS) participated in a collection of supplies for the Daniel P. Cosgrove Animal Shelter. The shelter, located in Branford, serves the towns of Branford and North Branford and goes above and beyond its municipal shelter responsibilities by fundraising and relying on community support to rescue and rehome all animals which come through its doors.

The drive collected dozens of items on the shelter's supply wish list. The list currently includes canned or dry food for kittens, senior cat dry food, sensiitive stomach food for cats, clay cat litter, Aspen rabbit bedding, Natural Balance sweet potato dog food, dog treats (pig ears, bully sticks and/or Whimzees), dog treats, Freedom no-pull harnesses, HE laundry detergent, Colorox wipes, paper towels, baking soda and garbage bags.

NBHS principal Todd Stoefller shares the many items collected during the month of March at were delivered to the shelter today, April 7. The drive and delivery took place with the help of NBHS students and was organized by Heidi Ahlstrom Miller.
