Academic and Extracurricular Achievements
• Gabriel S. Cusack-Mercedez of Chester graduated from Porter and Chester Institute, Rocky Hill, with a 3.73 GPA in automotive technology, the highest in his class.
• Brian Loftus of Deep River graduated from the University of New Haven.
• Jessica Newcomb of Deep River, the daughter of Pearl and Robert Newcomb, has completed her graduate studies at Rush University of Chicago. She received her doctorate of nursing in anesthesiology in December 2016 and is now a captain in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California.
