The Lions Clubs of Connecticut, in celebration of Lions Clubs International’s 100th anniversary, recently served the vision-impaired community by providing two new vans to the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc., in Bloomfield. Completion of the $60,000 Lions Centennial Legacy Project was celebrated at the Connecticut Lions February Mid-Winter Conference at the Radisson Hotel in Cromwell, when the vans were ceremoniously turned over to Fidelco by Club officers and the Connecticut district governors.

The Killingworth, New Haven, and Woodbury Lions clubs each contributed $10,000 in order to match an LCIF Standard Grant in the amount of $30,000 secured by the New England Lions Advisory Board (NELAB) to Fidelco. Lions Clubs are groups of men and women who identify needs within their communities and work together to fulfill those needs.
