03/07/2017 10:04 AMMarch 7, 2017: Are you feeling more disconnected than ever from your neighbors? From your community? The Blackstone Library is offering a new program this spring which is designed to help community members reconnect with the people and places that make Branford home: Uncover Branford.
Uncover Branford is a collaboratively-designed program shaped by feedback from the Branford community. Those who want to explore, make friends, and uncover the hidden gems of Branford are invited to attend an Uncover Branford kickoff meeting on Saturday, April 22 at 1 p.m. at the Blackstone Library. Participants will meet others who want to exchange stories about their favorite places in town and explore new places as a group.
Have a favorite walking trail? A funny story from a restaurant you love? Share them! Participants will break into small groups to create an exploration plan that works for them, then visit those places with the group. Create new memories, take pictures, and make friends along the way. Then share the stories and experiences with the community with a simple display and in a printed booklet. The Blackstone will have experts on hand at the library on Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. to help participants make something special.

Participants will have the opportunity to be a part of the Blackstone's Uncover Branford Open House & Reception on Tuesday, May 23 at 6 p.m. and have their photos and stories displayed for the public. Help others discover what makes Branford such a special place, and find new favorite spots of your own. It's time to get up, get out, and Uncover Branford.
