Exchange Club Honors February Youth of the Month

The Exchange Club of Madison recently honored Grace Squitiero, the daughter of Charon and Geoffrey Squitiero, with the David Bell Scholarship Award as its February 2017 Youth of the Month. The Daniel Hand High School senior was nominated by the Daniel Hand High School (DHHS) faculty and completed a competitive application.

The Exchange Club of Madison Youth of the Month and Year Program Chairman David Bell presented Grace Squitiero with a $200 award and a commemorative plaque. Squitiero is a high honors student, president of the Student Council, captain of the tennis team, and a member of Peer Advocates, Diversity Club, Life Group, DHHS Band, and DHHS United soccer team. She is a former Girl Scout and was selected to attend the American Legion Laurel Girl’s State.

Squitiero has also volunteered at Madison Youth & Family Services and Senior Olympic fundraisers, and done clerical work and promotion of events via Facebook for the Madison Chamber of Commerce and Compassion Counts. She received the DHHS Girl’s Soccer Tiger Award in 2014, Helping Hand Award in 2015, English and Spanish Awards 2014, Band Award 2015, Princeton University Book Award, and Science Department Commendation Award.

Squitiero has been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh and Northeastern, and is waiting to hear from Syracuse, Georgetown, Duke, and Dartmouth
