Patrick Fahey Recognized as Youth of the Month

The Exchange Club of Madison recently honored Patrick Fahey, the son of Colman and Molly Fahey, with the David Bell Scholarship Award for the January 2017 Youth of the Month. The Daniel Hand High School (DHHS) senior was nominated by the school faculty and completed a competitive application.

Youth of the Month Program Chairman David Bell presented Fahey with a $200 award and a commemorative plaque. Fahey is a high honors student, a member of the National Honor Society, Class Council, DHHS Band, Peer Advocates, Choices, Reach-Out, Quiz Bowl Team, cross country, and track teams, as well as a student liaison to the Madison Youth & Family Services Board and Parish Council at St. Margaret Catholic Church. He is also a president and co-founder of the Model UN, president of the Exchange Excel Club, and captain of the DHHS Debate Team. He is also an Eagle Scout, a delegate to the American Legion Boys State, and active in the SMYLE Youth Group at St. Margaret Church. He has been accepted to Northeastern, Boston College, and Catholic University and awaits hearing from Harvard, Brown, and Princeton.
