The parishioners of Christ and The Epiphany Church raised more than $500 for their 2016 Global Mission Fund, which was donated to two non-profit organizations, Malawi Farmers, Inc. and the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS-USA). Malawi Farmers, Inc., based in West Haven, is dedicated to digging deep water wells in villages in the Republic of Malawi, Southeast Africa, for drinking, cooking, washing, and hydrating animals and crops. Currently, water is carried from great distances and has to be boiled to eliminate contamination.

SAMS-USA is a mission community sending missionaries for ministry in countries around the world. Its work includes evangelism, discipleship and church planting, community development, health care, nutrition, education, women and children at risk, and AIDS-HIV education.
