12/07/2016 02:50 PMAmid the beautiful Pine Orchard Country Club decorated with outstanding Christmas decor, the Branford Garden Club held their Annual monthly meeting for December. The club installed new officers for 2017 - 2018.
The officers are: President Paula Inglese; Vice President Pat Sanders; Treasurer Laurie Van Wilgen; Assistant Treasurer Janet Dahl; Corresponding Secretary Mary Alice Howley and Recording Secretary Deanna O'Connell.
Also at the December meeting, Branford Garden Club's 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award was given to Nancy Iannotti, to acknowledge Iannotti's hard work and generous spirit. The award was presented by Past President Bonnie McKirdy.
The entire Branford Garden Club was honored at the CT Federation Garden Club luncheon meeting on October 26, 2016 at Aquaturf. The club received the Most Outstanding Garden Club in the Extra Large Division for outstanding member participation.
The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. is an educational, charitable non-profit organization made up of approximately 7,000 individual members, about 150 clubs and 15 affiliate organizations.
