11/23/2016 09:14 AMSue Kruczek lost her son Nick to an overdose and she has turned her family’s loss into a mission: to raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with substance use so that those that need help can in fact get the help they need.
The Kruczek family is once again hosting Nick Kruczek’s Memorial Skate on Saturday, Nov. 26 to memorialize Nick and to raise both money and awareness for those in need.
The event takes place at the Northford Ice Pavillion starting at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26. The jamboree is open to Guilford High School (GHS) and Daniel Hand High School (DHHS) alumni as well as Nick’s youth hockey teammates and will feature raffles and donations. Proceeds go to provide GHS and DHHS Senior Scholarships and support drug awareness initiatives.
