Two shoreline business owners are joining forces for the First Annual Stuff a Boat Holiday Food Drive with collection by trailering a blue-hulled boat carrying a Christmas tree in her stern, to collection site in Branford and Old Saybrook over the coming days and weeks. All proceeds will go to the Connecticut Food Bank.

Scott Sundhoim, President of S&S Marine LLC of Old Saybrook, joins John Sousoulas, owner of Parthenon Diners of Branford and Old Saybrook, to bring Stuff A Boat to several locations now through Friday, Dec. 23.

An eye-catching flyer announcing the effort states, "Scott and John are determined to miminize the chance that a cild or family, located in the Shoreline East area, experiences hunger over the winter holidays. They need your assistance to reach their ambitious goal."

The collection kicked off on November 12 at S&S Marine and will accept non-perishable food items, paper goods and beverages to stuff the boat between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the following dates and locations: November 19 - 25, Parthenon Diner, Old Saybrook (809 Boston Post Rd.); November 26 - December 2, Parthenon Diner, Branford (374 East Main St.); December 3 - 9, West Marine, Old Saybrook (1667 Boston Post Rd.); December 10 - 16, Parthenon Diner, Old Saybrook; December 17 - 23, S&S Marine LLC, 128 Essex Road.
