Police: 2 Men Arrested After Clashing Over Trump's Election

Police have charged two men after they allegedly clashed over President-elect Donald Trump.

The Hartford Courant reports that police received several 911 calls about 8:40 p.m. Friday from customers and workers at the Cuckoo's Nest Mexican restaurant in Old Saybrook.

The callers reported dishes were being thrown.

Investigators said the two men who didn't know each other got into an argument about Trump, which then turned physical.

Police said 34-year-old Evan Brown of Lyme was arrested on breach of peace in the second degree and third degree assault charges.

A second man, 58-year-old Douglas Dahlberg of Clinton, was also arrested and charged with second degree breach of peace. Dahlberg was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the fight.
