Veterans Invited to Essex Elementary School Honor Walk

Essex Elementary School invites local veterans to the school on Friday, Nov. 11 from 9:20 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to help teach students about the meaning of Veterans Day.

At 9:25 a.m., veterans will line the school’s main hallway for the Honor Walk. Students will walk the hall to greet veterans.

After the Honor Walk all veterans are invited for light refreshments in the media center.

Veterans who can join the program for either or both parts are asked to call the school office at 860-767-8215 to RSVP. All visitors must sign in and show a photo ID at the front office upon arrival.
