09/07/2016 03:36 PMSept. 6, 2016: Branford Police Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of Joseph Miller, 28, (DOB 6/4/1988), LKA of 25 Yowago Ave., Branford. Miller was located deceased on a parcel of land owned by the Town of Branford, known as the "Tabor Property" on August 31.
Chief Kevin Halloran said that although the Chief State Medical Examiner's report is inconclusive until the return of Miller's toxicology report, which could take up to six weeks, the focus of the detective's investigation has changed from "suspicious" in nature to an untimely death.
Chief Halloran said, "By all indication from our investigators thus far, we do not believe the public is at risk or the area is unsafe in any way." The chief continued, "Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friend of Mr. Miller as they grieve their loss."
