East Haven Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Car Accident

A 48-year-old bicyclist in East Haven was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 31 after he was struck by a car on Forbes Place.

According to police, Dominic Mongillo, of New Haven, was struck at 4:15 p.m. by a 23-year-old man. Mongillo sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital where is listed in critical condition. The driver's name has not been released.
