08/18/2016 12:00 AMOld Saybrook Police have released the identity of a man who was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Edwin Roscoe, 89, of Cambridge Court West, Old Saybrook, was struck on Maple Avenue near Cambridge Court West on Aug. 16 at approximately 8:11 p.m. Rosco was transported to Middlesex Hospital Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook where he was pronounced dead.
The accident continues to be actively investigated. Officers have secured and will be executing a search and seizure warrant for the vehicle involved in the accident. Evidence and data collected from the vehicle and the accident scene along with witness and operator statements are being analyzed by officers.
The investigation remains active.
