08/03/2016 03:45 PMOn Saturday Aug. 6 Branford Police Special Olympics Connecticut hosts the fourth annual Dunk a Cop on the Branford town green from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The fundraiser will help support year-round sports, health and fitness programs for athletes of Special Olympics Connecticut.
The family-friendly event will include face painting, raffle prizes, music and food vendors. Dunk-A-Cop is a fundraiser organized through the The Law Enforcement Torch Run® program. Law enforcement officers volunteer to raise awareness and funds.
Several Branford police officers have signed on to be dunked for the cause on August 6. For more information, find "Branford PD Special Olympics CT" on Facebook.
