NBHS Names Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Essayist

With graduation just weeks away, North Branford High School (NBHS) has named the Class of 2016 Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Essayist.  Together with the Class President, they will speak at the NBHS Commencement set for Friday, June 10 at 5 p.m. on the NBHS football field.

Class Valedictorian is Eilidh Currie. Salutatorian is Kaylea Grandpre and Class Essayist is Rachel Sauro while Gabrielle Augur is Class President.  North Branford Public Schools will award diplomas to over 135 members of the high school's senior class during traditional graduation ceremonies overseen by the Board of Education and North Branford Public Schools. 

In November 2015, Currie, an accomplished ballerina and volunteer choreographer for North Branford Intermediate School musical theatre, was featured as The Sound's "Person of the Week" with the story headline "Scholar, Volunteer by Day; Sugar Plum Fairy Come December." Read the article here

All members of the NBHS Class of 2016 will receive graduation tickets for their families and fans (10 each for bleacher seating, plus two tickets for on-field seating for parents/guardians) at Graduation Rehearsal (June 9, 12:15 p.m. in the NBHS Gym). In the case of rain, students will receive four tickets each for the indoor ceremony (gymnasium) and four additional tickets for auditorium seating to view a simulcast of the ceremony.
