4th Annual Chili Challenge for a Cause

Chili lovers unite! The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its fourth annual Chili Challenge for a Cause on Saturday, April 2 from noon to 3 p.m.

Held in the Branford Green Merchant area, several area restaurants will offer their best chili to taste. Each chili chef will choose a charity of his/her choice. The winning chef receives a trophy; his charity receives a check from the Shoreline Chamber.

Here’s how it works: Purchase a $10 ticket at the Chamber’s tent, located on the Green. Participants receive a bag containing water, a map, and a ballot to vote for the chili of their choice. Taste the chili being offered in the stores on Main Street, then drop the completed ballot in an official ballot box, located in each designated tasting location.

Vote counting and the reveal take place at Asti Ristorante & Bar at 3:30 p.m.
