Domestic Services Asks Help from East Haveners


The East Haven Police Department is making an appeal to residents to help donate items for people who are being served by Domestic Violence Services. A donation box has been set up in the main lobby of the Police Station for items to be dropped off.

Items that are needed include: cleaning products, laundry detergent, dish detergent, dishwasher liquid, bleach, liquid antibacterial pump soap, Febreze, spot remover, floor cleaning solution (Pine-Sol, etc.), 8 quart pot with cover, baking pans, steel wool/Brillo pads, Comet cleanser, tall kitchen trash bags, plastic wrap, stand up Ziploc bags (all sizes/types), potholders, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, paper towels, toilet paper, and facial tissues.

The department is also seeking donations of arts and crafts items for children, baby monitors, pack-and-play/portable cribs, non-perishable food items, Rubbermaid container, hair dryers and hair brushes, liquid body wash, Q-tips, personal hygiene products, baby wipes, diaper genies, sippy cups, and pacifiers.
