No matter the season, Branford Rotary continues to support this community grand gestures and generous ways. Recent donations include a summer-time gift of $10,000 to Branford Historical Society to help save Harrison House. In November, the club chipped in a $150 contribution to Branford VFW for Veterans Day, as part of Branford Rotary's continued support of Branford veterans.

The holiday season is a busy time for Branford Rotary. Following the club's appearance at Branford's Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting on Nov. 28, Branford Rotary kicks off its holiday charitable goodwill efforts. On Dec. 5, look for Branford Rotary members at various locations around town during the club's annual Salvation Army "Bell Ringing" campaign, collecting donations in those inconic red kettles.

On Dec. 10, Branford Rotary members will once again roll up their sleeves to serve a huge crowd of Branford's senior citizens a very special Holiday Dinner. For over 25 years, Rotary members have prepared, cooked, and served a full, hot holiday meal and desserts to hundreds of Branford seniors, gathered at one special event. Music and a visit from Santa add to the dinner's festive holiday atmosphere.

Branford Rotary was chartered in 1928. The Rotary motto, "Service Above Self," keeps the club busy year 'round helping others through fundraising for donations and by providing community service locally, as well as supporting humanitarian efforts worldwide.
