It’s not that there’s anything outdated about the shop, which offers the expected drug store goods like greeting cards, medical supplies, and prescriptions, but in an age of big-box pharmacies, Connecticut Pharmacy of Madison is a small-town pharmacy focused on customer service and relationships. Pharmacist Doug Kane started out in 1983 as a pharmacy technician in Massachusetts, where his first boss taught him that “if you treat your customers right and treat them like family, your professional experience will be a great one.”
Kane’s goal is to get to know patients as more than just medication profile, and part of that commitment is providing free delivery to customers. The pharmacy also offers medication management programs aimed at taking the hassle out of filling prescriptions and elevating overall health and wellness.
