Holiday Food Drive Needs Your Donations!

North Haven's Annual Holiday Food Drive began October 15, when collection bins were set out at North Haven Town Hall and other businesses in town. The Food Drive, sponsored by the Churches of North Haven, is again collecting non-perishable food items to include in holiday boxes that will be delivered to families of North Haven for Thanksgiving and Christmas. After heavy demand on the Food Pantry this summer, the current stocks at the Food Pantry are very low, and the Drive needs as much help as possible.

There are many easy ways to donate food. Non-perishable food items can be donated directly to the Food Pantry at the North Haven Congregational Church any weekday morning between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Collection bins are located at North Haven Town Hall, Town Hall Annex, Arnold's Jewelers – the North Haven Diamond Center, Candid Cleaners, Connex Credit Union (North Haven Branch), Mary's Helpers, Minotti’s Music, Mio Salon, Ron's Barber Shop, Quinnipiac University School of Law, Paul Mitchell’s North Haven Academy, Besomebody Fitness and Pilates, North Haven Dialysis Center and Tobin Center for Chiropractic. On November 7 the Boy Scouts will distribute bags to be filled for contribution; the Boy Scouts will collect those bags on November 14, and will accept donations in the parking lot of the Congregational Church. Gift certificates or cash donations can be made toward the purchase of perishable items. Checks should be payable to North Haven Congregational Church, food drive in the memo line.
