From left, Skip Hubbard of the Chester Historical Society, Denise Learned of Camp Hazen, Allen Alonzo of the Chester Hose Company, Stephanie Proulx of Camp Hazen, Linda Fox of the Chester Library, and Suzie Woodward of Lark gather to celebrate Lark’s fundraising to celebrae its first anniversary.

This summer, to celebrate her company’s first anniversary, Suzie Woodward, owner of Lark at 4 Water Street in Chester, topped her $1,000 goal of giving back to the community with the idea that kindness inspires kindness. Through various, creative ways, Lark, its customers, and staff raised more than $1,000 for many shoreline nonprofits. Some of the recipients include Camp Hazen, Chester Historical Society, Chester Public Library, Chester Food Pantry, Chester Hose Company, the Mercy Center, A Place Called Hope, and Shoreline Soup Kitchens.
