Man Stabbed While Attending Funeral in North Haven


North Haven Police are investigating a stabbing that took place at All Saints Cemetery around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

According to policeĀ a group of individuals began arguing while attending a funeral. The argument became physical and one man was stabbed several times. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The assailant, identified as Robert Ferrie, 54, of Meriden, attempted to flee the scene in the back seat of a limousine. Officers stopped the vehicle near the entrance to the cemetery and arrested Ferrie.

Ferried was charged with assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment, and breach of peace. He was held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Thursday, Oct. 8.
