09/03/2015 12:00 AMThe Clinton Police Department will be conducting sobriety check points in various locations in town during September.
These checks will be roving in nature, and will occur between 6 p.m. and 5 a.m., on the following Clinton roadways: Route 1, Route 81, Route 145, Glenwood Road, Cow Hill Road, Nod Road, Long Hill Road, Commerce Street, Grove Street, and Riverside Drive.
Along with the sobriety check points, Clinton Police will also be enforcing other traffic safety laws, including but not limited to seatbelt compliance and the illegal use of cell phones while driving.
These events are being funded on a grant from Clinton Partners in the Community (PIC).
