Over 47 Years Serving Branford

Myron "Beau" Beaudin.

On Aug. 29, Branford's Myron "Beau" Beaudin was celebrated by his colleagues at a retirement party in his honor at the Italian American Club.

The Branford High School (Class of '69) alumnus received a vintage Branford High School (BHS) Letter Jacket from Branford Board of Education (BOE) Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds Joe Carbone and a proclamation from town, signed by First Selectman James B. Cosgrove. The proclamation recognized Beaudin's distinguished service to Branford Public Schools as a BOE employee.

"Beau" started working with the BOE over 47 years ago, beginning part-time and continuing full time for 45 years. He began his career at BHS and retired at the end of the last school year from his long-held custodial post at Walsh Intermediate School.

Branford Custodians Union (UPSEU) president Frank Drago said, "Beau will be missed by faculty, staff and students alike. He dealt with so many of them in his nearly 50 years in the school system".
