Hailee Hoffman Receives Lions Club Scholarship

Hailee Hoffman receives a scholarship check from Madison Lions President Don Williams at Lions Day on the Madison Green with the assistance of scholarship chairperson George Basler.

Hailee Hoffman, a graduating senior from Daniel Hand High School, was selected by the high school administration to be the recipient of the Lions Clubs 41st Clayton E. Clark Nursing and Allied Health Science Scholarship.

Hoffman is the daughter of Martha and Ben Hoffman of Madison. Hailee Hoffman will be attending the University of Vermont School of Nursing and Health Sciences in the fall. While in high school, Hoffman was president of the Uganda Club and served on the Executive Committee of Interact. She was also active in the Peer Advocate program and Mentoring Matters, bonding with Brown School students. Hoffman was on the varsity Fencing Team. Hoffman’s vision of helping people will be satisfied as she progresses in her nursing career.

The Clayton E. Clark Memorial Scholarship is bestowed on a deserving student for up to four years. Since 1971, it has been given by the Madison Lions Club in memory of Clayton E. Clark, a charter member of the club, who was Madison’s assistant postmaster for many years. He was the scholarship liaison between the club and the high school.
