08/12/2015 09:45 AMThursday, Aug. 13, will be a summer night to remember in Madison. From 5:30 to 8 p.m., downtown Madison will become a beach party, courtesy of the Madison Chamber of Commerce’s sixth annual Beachcomber’s Night, an evening of shopping and entertainment in Madison.
Visitors are invited to stroll the sidewalks on both side of Route One and Wall Street, sampling food and wines and beer from Connecticut vineyards, local brewers, and distributors while enjoying live music along the way. Shops and restaurants will offer unique specials for the evening and also offer $10 raffle tickets to be entered into a drawing to win prizes including bundles of gift certificates to local merchants.
A portion of proceeds will benefit the family of Kyle Connor, a young Madison resident recently diagnosed with ALS.
