Eleven Guilford residents received a total of $23,500 in scholarships and no-interest loan from the Guilford Rotary Club Memorial Educational Fund to help pay for educational expenses. The fund assists Guilford residents attending or planning to attend continuing education programs, job training programs, colleges, or graduate schools. Since its founding, the fund has awarded more than $350,000 to approximately 290 recipients.

This year’s recipients are Evan Carlson, Robert Davis, Sophie Kaplan, Kyle Landry-McWilliams, Matthew Landry-McWilliams, Molly Louis, Brendan Regan, Christopher Rogers, Mark Severino, Ryan Sogge, and Megan Vanacore.

The Memorial Educational Fund was established in 1966 as a non-profit organization by members of the Guilford Rotary Club. It is funded by Rotary Club contributions, by tax-deductible donations from Rotarians and non-Rotarians, and from proceeds of Rotary Club fundraising events such as the Frosty 5K New Year’s Day Road Race, LobsterFest, and other Rotary events.
