Jordan Saintil of Ivoryton was among the six 2015 recipients of Chester Village West Foundation, Inc., scholarships. Three Chester Village West employees and three children of employees have each been awarded a $2,500 scholarship.

Saintil is the son of Chester Village West kitchen staff member Ann Marie Saintil and a senior at Endicott College majoring in sports management and participating in a work intern program. Other winners were Jack Conway of Old Saybrook, Erin Fredericksen of Killingworth, Donald O’Boyle of Killingworth, Max Nadelman of East Hampton, and Jacob “Jake” Woodworth of East Haddam.

Created as a not-for-profit entity in 1998 by a group of Chester Village residents, during the past 17 years the Chester Village West Foundation has raised and provided scholarships to the community’s staff and their children, helping them to further their education beyond high school. Over the past few years, the individual scholarship awards have been gradually increased to the current $2,500 per person.
