07/29/2015 11:30 AMOn Thursday, Aug. 13, the Madison Chamber of Commerce is hosting its sixth annual Beachcomber’s Night, an evening of shopping and entertainment in downtown Madison. Visitors will be able to sample wines and beer from Connecticut vineyards, brewers, and distributors along the sidewalk while enjoying the sounds of live music. Shops and restaurants will offer specials for the evening and, in addition to the wine, beer, music, and snacks, for $10 buys an entry into a drawing to win some prizes including bundles of gift certificates to local merchants.
A portion of proceeds will benefit Kyle Connor’s family, a young Madison resident recently diagnosed with ALS. The Beachcomber event, sponsored by Wanda and Ed Pellegrino of Coldwell Banker, Child & Adult Orthodontics, Vista Vocational, Painting by Richard Gallagher, Vein Centers of CT, Liberty Bank, Café Allegre, Ciao Bella, and Coastal CT Magazine, runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will span both the north and south sides of Rt. 1, as well as Wall Street.
