Momma’s Always Watching

For those looking for that sweet cat who is always talking and wants to be with them, here she is. Meet Momma Cat! Momma Cat is an 11-month-old long hair, tiger female. Momma came to the Valley Shore Animal Welfare League (VSAWL) with a small litter of kittens from a family that took them all in until they had a safe place to go. At the shelter, Momma received all her veterinary care and has become a favorite among the staff. Momma is always right at the door to greet everyone coming into the shelter. She is sweet with people and loves to be scratched. She likes to hang out and relax, and has no issues being with other cats in the household. Momma Cat is up to date on her vaccines, flea preventative, and is spayed. To consider Momma Cat, call VSAWL at 860-399-7561.

VSAWL is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter located in Westbrook, open five days a week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Calling ahead is recommended for availability. All animals live on site and can be viewed during hours for consideration for adoption.

To see who else is waiting for a home at the shelter, visit www.valleyshoreanimalwelfareleague.org and www.facebook.com/VSAWL as well as www.petfinder.com. VSAWL also accepts relinquished cats and dogs based on animal intake guidelines and if space is available. To relinquish a cat or dog, call the shelter office at 860-399-7561.
