Branford Student Recognized at eesmarts Student Contest at State Capitol

Margo Katz, a 4th-grader at Branford’s Mary T. Murphy School, was honored recently as a finalist at the 11th annual eesmarts Student Contest ceremony held at the State Capitol.

Katz’s project was awarded first place in the Grade 4 category. Katz wrote a news article with tips on how to save and conserve energy in everyday life. She received a $400 Amazon gift card and plaque commemorating her achievement in this category.
