Westbrook Holds First Light Bulb Swap

Members of the Westbrook Energy Committee and Eversource posed for a photo with the old light bulbs. Recently, more than 160 Westbrook households participated in the town’s first-ever light bulb swap funded by the town’s first Bright Idea Grant. The $5,000 grant was earned through resident and business participation in Energize Connecticut programs. During the swap, residents were able to bring up to five incandescent light bulbs and exchange them for five new energy efficient LEDs. Additional energy-saving lighting products were also available for purchase at a discounted rate, and energy experts from Eversource were on hand to help people learn about ways to save energy and money.
