Saint Mary Students Thank Community

Saint Mary School students recently visited the Blackstone Library, the Post Office, Town Hall, Community Dining Room, Parish Office, and (pictured) the Branford Police Station. The students brought baked goods and thank you cards to each visit and also sang a song of appreciation. Police Chief Kevin Halloran was so impressed by the students’ kindness, he wrote about their visit on the Police Department’s Facebook page: “When you think you’re having a bad day and reflect over the past year or so regarding how difficult the job of being a police officer has become with the national attention focusing primarily on the negative interactions between the police and the community, and ask yourself why you continue to put on the uniform on everyday? Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is why!”
