07/07/2015 01:34 PMHungry for fun? Community Dining Room (CDR) is hosting tonight's free "Summer Fun, Food and Games" on the Branford town Green and invites area families (especially those with kids)to attend.
Gather on the Green at 5:30 p.m. for a picnic dinner and activities for kids, provided compliments of non-profit CDR. The program runs from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with no pre-registration needed.
As CDR Executive Director Pat Kral recently told Zip06, "For several years now, we've offered this in collaboration with the East Shore District Health Department. It's a picnic dinner on the Green sponsored by CDR that's free, and we have stretching exercises and games and activities for kids. So bring your blanket or chairs, bring your water bottles, come and have a nice dinner and let the kids run around."
The free event on the Green is offered the first Tuesday night in June, July and August and is one of many free dining programs offered by CDR. CDR serves residents across the shoreline from East Haven to Old Saybrook and is based in the Patricia C. Andriole Volunteer Services Building on Harrison Avenue in Branford.
