The Guilford Garden Club is kicking off its annual “Greening of Guilford” Tree Planting drive. The club funds the program and asks businesses and organizations to join it in this effort. Individual and memorial contributions are also welcomed.

The club works with the town tree warden, who selects appropriate trees and planting sites wherever needed on town property.

Any donation to the tree fund is appreciated and will be applied toward the purchase of a tree. If you wish to fund a tree, the cost is $400 (which includes purchase, planting, and care of the tree). Checks may be made payable to the “Guilford Garden Club — Tree Fund” and mailed to P.O. Box 608, Guilford, CT 06437. All donations are tax–deductible. For further information, call 203-453-5898.
