Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center is partnering with the Town of Madison, the Madison Chamber of Commerce, Madison Beach Hotel, Scranton Seahorse Inn, and Tidewater Inn to bring about a new way for people to explore the town through the Madison Bike Share program.

This collaborative initiative allows locals and tourists the opportunity to rent a bicycle and discover the town on two wheels during the spring, summer, and early fall months. The bicycles will be serviced at least once a week by a Vista student employee.

The Madison Bike Share is planned to run through October. Individuals aged 18 and older will be able to rent a bike for a 24-hour period for $10. Helmets and locks will also be provided.

The program has launched with 15 bikes distributed at three rental locations: Madison Beach Hotel (94 West Wharf Road), Scranton Seahorse Inn (818 Boston Post Road), and Tidewater Inn (949 Boston Post Road). Bikes must be returned to the same location from which they were rented.

The Madison Chamber of Commerce is seeking sponsors for the 2015 Madison Bike Share season. Sponsorships are $250 per bike and include sponsor name and logo on a sign affixed to a basket on the front of a bike. To secure a sponsorship for the 2015 season, contact the Chamber at 203-245-7394.
