Branford Rotary Student of the Month of January: Colin Tracy

The Branford Rotary Club continues its Student of the Month (SOM) program at Branford High School (BHS) by recognizing high-achieving juniors and seniors who have made distinctive academic contributions.

Colin Tracy, the son of David Tracy and Jessica Silva, was nominated by his health/P.E. teacher, Jen Kohut. Tracy is a senior at BHS and has a 3.0 GPA. He is a three sport athlete: football, basketball, and track and field. He is capital of all three. Tracy is planning on furthering his career in physical therapy/athletic training at UConn in the fall. He was presented a gift card from Smoothie King in Branford and a gift card to Amazon.

The Branford Rotary Club is in its 86th year of existence, having been charted on Oct. 15, 1928. The Rotary Club of Branford is an organization of women and men representing a cross-section of local business and professional leaders, living and/or employed in Branford, who work as volunteers on a variety of local and international projects to improve the quality of life in their home and world communities. The Branford Rotary Club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 a.m. at the Parthenon Diner, 374 East Main Street, Branford. Guests of members are welcome to attend luncheons, and membership inquiries are encouraged.
