On a recent sunny day, 10 enthusiastic bicyclists from Guilford and Madison joined the Shoreline Greenway Trail (SGT) team at the Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride in New Haven with 1,300 other bikers to raise funds for 24 environmental organizations. Other local SGT members volunteered at the Perk on Church rest stop for the 60-mile route bikers. The SGT team of 18 shoreline riders, including a nine-year-old and three riders older than 70, raised almost $8,000 from 94 donors. It was a fun day and a fun way to raise funds for the trail.
